A fun fact: words gremlins eat baked goods and good words.
A second fun fact: words gremlins have lots of words to share.
A third and final fun fact: I am absolutely a words gremlin, and I’d like to share some good words with you! No dice on the baked goods, though, so sorry. Can’t bake to save my life.
Anyway, my name is Meaghan, and I’m a junior year classics major who likes fantasy YA, my three pet rabbits, cookies with chocolate inside, and sleeping in! Sometimes I read, sometimes I write, and sometimes, I translate a lot of Latin. Mitte opem.
Sometimes, I am assisted by one of the cutest bunnies in the world. Her name is Squirt, on account of being very very small (teeny tiny, you might even say), and she is a words gremlin in training. She is better at rearranging blankets than she is at rearranging words, but that’s okay.
It’s great to meet you, and I’m so dang excited to share my many wordy book thoughts with you in the future!
A small disclaimer: not all book thoughts will come with pictures of cute bunnies, but some will if you stay tuned…
Hi Meaghan, I am Katja but usually all people on here call me Kat π All the Latin I know is from books … and not very helpful stuff in the case of trying to welcome you to the blogosphere either. In Omnia Paratus maybe? Be prepared for lots of laughs and great people and fun bookish stuff and a TBR pile that will most likely grow so large that it will endanger your livelihood.
Hoping for more cute bunny pics soon π
Hi, Kat!! Super great to meet you! π And haha, no worries. Latin and helpful usually don’t belong in the same sentence except when it’s useful for fantasy novels with ominous riddles. “Prepared in all things” seems like good blogging advice, though! And oh goodness, I’m so excited. My TBR pile is already terrifying, but that’s okay. At least now I can share it with other people and we can all fear the TBR together!
Fingers crossed! The trick to cute bunny pics is the bunnies sitting still. It’s difficult, right up there with herding cats. Oh dear.
Yes, that’s what blogging is all about. You can rant and rave about things with basically the entire interwebs.
And hahaha I can imagine that’s not alwasy easy, but the cuteness must be shared with the world in some way. I believe in you to get a chance to sneak a picture of the bunnies again at some point.
Tiny Bun is adorable and I love her.
And I’m curious, is being a words gremlin a lot like being a bakery gremlin? Is this the sort of thing where instead of hissing at people while cramming bread into your mouth you’re hissing at people while shoving books into a backpack or something?
Tiny Bun is super adorable and I will pass on that love so she knows she is appreciated even more.
It is EXACTLY like that, yes. Sometimes it also includes building a throne out of brand new notebooks and sitting on top even as it teeters verrrrrrry precariously. While still hissing. Gremlins can and do hiss a lot, I guess.
