Despite all odds, I did it. I survived. I have some ramblings of a draft that will one day be a story, plus a ton of other short projects under my belt. I have emerged from Camp victorious at last.
But man, what a ride it’s been!
Somehow, Camp NaNo always feels more difficult for me than regular NaNo, so I’m really proud of myself for crossing the finish line. It’s had a lot of ups and downs (maybe more downs than I’d like to admit), but I stuck with it! I made it! This is my first Camp NaNo success ever, so I’m just super pleased.
Of course, I’d be more pleased if I’d stuck with one project, but I think I learned my lesson on that: I am not a pantser. I need to know what I’m doing and how I’m doing it when I start, and that’s just all there is to it. A valuable lesson to learn, though!

Unofficial Camp Ahead!
For August, I’ll be writing 50k for my beloved pirate/mermaid project, affectionately code-named #SeaGays. It’s the same parameters as July Camp NaNo except for the fact that it’s not an official Camp NaNo, so expect me to be a little sparse as I try to conquer the blank page and another 50k words in a month!
Congrats and good luck!!
Thank you!
