September is here. School is here. SO MUCH IS HERE.
Life Beyond the Blog
Nothing beats the organized chaos of school, honestly. But hey, it means I have a schedule again, so this week has been good! I’ve been pleasantly surprised at finding some faces on campus I didn’t expect to see, and the syllabi I’ve gotten this week have been absolutely angelic, because the workload isn’t too vicious, and I think I only have one sit-down final, and it’s at the beginning of finals week. Everything else is papers, and that’s so doable.
Don’t tell my profs, but you don’t want to know how many papers I’ve done on short notice because I was juggling too much. With less to juggle this year, I don’t think I’ll have to do anything last minute, though!! So exciting.
Also, my D&D group has decided to start afresh, which means new characters (which means I’m using a character I already have in a NaNo project lol), and a new setting! We’re changing the group structure, too, which should make for fun new dynamics. Altogether, I’m incredibly excited!
Oh, and I also did a book exchange with a friend of mine. I got her Seanan McGuire’s Girl in the Green Silk Gown and VE Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic, and she got me Girl in the Green Silk Gown and the bind-up of the first three Eli Monpress books!

The Week Ahead
School, but for real!
Seriously, it’s the first full week of school. I’m aiming to get a little ahead on my assignments, and also to read at least one ARC, possibly one book, too. I also need to finish listening to TAZ since I didn’t finish it in August like I meant to. Plus I’m also applying to work on a lit journal at school, so fingers crossed! Decisions are made on the 19th, and I’m really hoping that I can whip my application into shape this week and get it in with as little fuss as possible.
I hope you’ve had a good week, and that you have an even better one to come!
A lit journal? What a brilliant idea! Good luck 😉
Thank you! It’s a big deal of an official literary journal, and I’m hoping it’ll be great first steps into publishing!
