Let it be known that the week before Christmas, when combined with last minute baking and gift shopping and finals, feels a lot like how a pterodactyl shriek probably sounds.
Terrifying.
Life Beyond the Blog
For starters, I’m done with fall semester! Finished! Free! Grades won’t be in for a couple of weeks, I think, but I got home on Thursday night and I’ve been chilling since. I’ve needed the downtime so badly to recharge my creative well and just recharge my entire existence also. The bunnies help with that (though they’re very mad at me for DARING to brush out all the loose fur they’re currently shedding).
Bonus picture of the smallest bun, being very cute and hanging out on my bed with me! She’s such an angel.
Anyways, I also took an Insta hiatus (I’ll be back in January, just too busy to take high quality photos at the moment!), and I set aside some of the things I told myself I’d read during finals week because it was all TOO MUCH. So I do feel better.
But on the flip side, today is cookie baking day, and the kitchen is about to be covered in flour and frosting. Keep me in your thoughts, folks, because I might not make it out of this one alive. The cookies outnumber me. By a lot. As do the gifts I still need to get, so my sister and I have to find time around baking the cookie army to make a quick jaunt to a couple of stores.
Nothing like the last minute during the holidays, right?
You’ll find out in a week if I survived.

The Week Ahead
With the holidays, next week is going to be NONSTOP. Seriously, if you see me on Twitter or Insta for more than about five minutes, chase me away, because chances are good that I have a ton of things to do still to help out with holiday prep. Plus, I need to do blog stuff, like write reviews. Y’know, the whole thing I started this blog for?
That said, it’s going to be nice to see family again, exchange gifts, and hopefully unwrap some new books (totally the highlight of the season).
Happy holidays to those of you celebrating, and see you next week. We’re almost to the end of the year!
Hahaha enjoy next week Meaghan and I am sure the bunny already forgave you π Merry Christmas!
That’s the plan! And haha, they did. It only takes a slice of banana to make that happen. π
Merry Christmas to you too!!
Merry Christmas Meaghan! Hopefully you get all the books you wanted!! x
Thank you, Meeghan! β€ Fingers crossed. And Merry Christmas to you too!!
