Weekly Wrap

So it turns out, working part time, going to school, and book blogging is A LOT.

Who knew?

Life Beyond the Blog

Okay, to be fair, I kind of knew I would have a lot on my plate when I accepted the job I have now. It’s a lot of things to juggle responsibly! Juggling is a lot easier when it’sΒ irresponsibleΒ (though maybe don’t do that, kids, don’t be irresponsible).

All the same, I’ve got my head above water, I’m earning some money, and I see the end of my college career in sight. That’s both exciting and daunting and it hasn’t sunk in quite yet. Assume it has if the blog just goes totally incoherent. Just gibberish.

I also reread an old thing this weekend and actually? It was a great experience. I’ll save you the trouble of finding the tweets where I talked about it, and just stick them below!

Anyway, that was the huge confidence boost I needed to wrap some stuff up and get it out the door, including some major life stuff! Amazing what a good look back can do for you tbh.

The Week Ahead

Activity resumes! Hopefully! I know for sure there’s at least three posts next week, though I may get a couple more out, depending on my work schedule. Who knows? Not me.

Don’t use me as an organizational model, folks. Even if I do color code everything, it doesn’t always make meΒ effective. Whoops.

Anyway, I’ll also be reading as much as I can this coming week in an attempt to meet my goal of reading ten books this month, which I am…woefully far from even though I had two weeks of winter break ready and willing to help at the beginning of the month. The procrastinator in me is so strong right now. So strong. But I’m going to win eventually.

I hope you’ve had a great week, and that next week is full of pleasant surprises for you! See you around!

  1. it’s absolutely simultaneously mortifying and satisfying to see how far you’ve come as a writer! I went back through some of my old notebooks this past winter break because I was looking for some list I’d made in middle school, and I was amazed – there were actually some pretty good ideas in there, but they’d definitely need heavy editing to return to the light of day, and I don’t currently have that kind of time. maybe someday though!

I can absolutely relate to *seeming* more organized than I am, haha. my friends seem to take the bullet journal as a sign that I have my crap together, but it’s really just a series of to-do lists that I keep postponing to the next day. oops? πŸ˜…

    1. You hit the nail on the head! Funny how we’ve actually done some amazing stuff but it’s also SO BAD and needs to be triple polished before we even mention it to anyone, haha. Worth the effort sometimes, though!

ME TOO. It’s a glorified, pretty to-do list that sometimes gets done. πŸ˜‚
