February is the shortest month, yes, it’s true, but for some reason, it seemed EVEN SHORTER THAN USUAL this time around. Who’s with me? Show of hands?
Anyways, let’s do a quick recap of what this month has been like.
Life Beyond the Blog
Well, for one, the new generation of Pokemon was announced yesterday, along with the new starter Pokémon, so I’m Team Scorbunny or bust right now. My brain has absolutely no room for anything but Pokémon, and it’s A TRAGEDY that Pokémon Sword and Shield won’t be here until the end of the year because I HAVE A GREAT AND POWERFUL NEED.
I mean, look at this bunny!!
He’s my new best friend and I love him and YES, when I get my game, I’ll be naming him Dr Bonkers if I get a boy, and Lady Flame if I get a girl (it would be absolutely terrible of me not to take the TAZ Amnesty route in naming this little fella)!
Anyways, Pokémon aside, I feel like nothing else happened, like there wasn’t even time for anything else to happen. And partly because Pokémon in my life is a lot like that Spongebob episode where he forgets everything but fine dining and breathing. That’s all I have left in my life, even if other stuff has happened.
So really, slow month in getting things done, REALLY FAST MONTH in terms of the terrifying passage of time.
Books Read and Reviewed
This month, I got through five books exactly! The entirety of the Witchlands series is crossed off my TBR (until the next one comes out and I have to do another reread, of course), and I got around to Sadie at last. You can read my reviews of the Witchlands series already, and you’ll see my review of Sadie in a couple weeks!
Next Month’s Reads
Ideally, I’m going to get through Words of Radiance, Edgedancer, Seafire, and the first three Eli Monpress books over the course of March (thank youuuuuu, spring break!) It’s a little ambitious, especially given the length of Words of Radiance and the Eli Monpress bind-up, but when am I ever not ambitious?
I’ll also attempt to shove a couple ARC reads in there, since I got approved for a couple more and need to wipe the slate before I start requesting again. Keep This to Yourself and King of Fools are high on that list!
My Top Three Posts
As always, I like to share the things I’m most proud of writing up this month! These three were easily my favorite posts to write, and I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed putting them together!
Favorites From Around the Blogging World
To nobody’s surprise whatsoever, the wider blogging world ONCE AGAIN produced some awesome posts. Take a look at some of my favorites here!
Cait @ Paper Fury shares 5 hacks for cheap but GORGEOUS bookstagram photos!
Sam @ Fictionally Sam explains how to get the most out of Goodreads in a handy guide!
Kat @ Novels and Waffles explains how she makes her amazing blog graphics (and how you can too)!
And also on Vicky’s blog, but as a guest post by An Arm and a Meg, enjoy a list of asexual reading recs (posted on Valentine’s Day, which honestly warms my ace heart)!
And that’s it for February, folks! I hope you’ve had a great month, and that you have an even greater month ahead. 😁
I need to get to Words of Radiance too. I loved the first one (just as I love everything and anything that Sanderson writes) but it’s just so intimidating. And that Pokemon is so cute! Have a great March 🙂
It’s ridiculously intimidating, you’re right! And admittedly, I haven’t tried anything else Sanderson yet, but so far, so good.
Isn’t it adorable? I’m so in love. 😍
You have a great March too, Libby!
Ahh! Girl! You have to read something by Sanderson!! Thank you 🙂
I’m working on it! One brick at a time. 😂
Thank you so, so much for sharing my post, I’m so happy you enjoyed it! 🙂 I hope you’ll have a great month 😀
You’re very welcome, Marie! And you have a great March too! 😁
Honestly SAME on February lasting all of 3.56 seconds! I can’t wait to read your Sadie review and good luck with reading this month!
ZOOM, IT’S GONE. WORLD RECORD. Ugh, I’m glad you understand it too!
It’ll be next Monday! I hope you like it. And thank you!!
