This week admittedly hasn’t been one of the easiest, so I’ll keep it short and sweet this time around, and hopefully be chattier next Saturday.
Life Beyond the Blog
The long and short of it is that my grandmother passed on Sunday night. It wasn’t unexpected, which was in some ways a small blessing (this would have been much harder if losing her had caught be by surprise instead of just being…an eventuality), but that doesn’t mean it was easy. That said, my family and I are doing okay, and that’s about the best we can ask for.
On a somewhat lighter note, however, I officially have a job, and expect to start work really soon. It’s a relief to know I’ll have a little extra money in the future, and something to do that gets me out of the house, even if that only means going to work. It’s different, and more than anything, I need a change of scenery right now.
It’s not been a perfect week, but at least it’s far from hopeless, so I’ll stick to that.

The Week Ahead
Next week is going to be busy. I start work, I start therapy, and who knows what else I’ll be doing. Maybe I’ll find time for more books (I hope so). Maybe I can start planning my NaNoWriMo project (I did get an inkling of an idea this week). I’m not really planning too much of my week, though, because I don’t really have it in me. We’re going to take what comes and go from there, simple as that.
I hope your week has been kinder to you than it has to me. Hug your loved ones, and I’ll see you around in the coming week. β€οΈ
Iβm so sorry to hear about your grandmother, Iβll be praying for you and your familyπ and good luck with your writing!!
Thank you, Kaya. β€οΈ
Congrats for the job, love !! xx May I ask what you’ll be doing? π
I’m so sorry for your lost, losing someone you love is always hard; but it can also be for the best in cases of health deteriorations .. Stay strong, i’m sure she’s happy wherever she is now β€οΈ
Just some part time work in retail, but it pays and that’s what counts!
Thank you. It’s definitely hard, but I know it could have been worse, and I have to admit I’m relieved it didn’t get to that point. β€οΈ
absolutely! I’m in retail aswell – Barista in a coffee shop π less retail than some other jobs, but I still deal with customers so hell, it’s retail to me ahah. Getting to get out of your house and do “different” stuff will surely do you good.
Yeh me too ! my bestfriend weren’t so lucky with her grandma .. she got to see her being literally trapped in her own body, and let me tell you.. it is painful to watch being deal with. I can’t imagine the feeling..
I sure hope it does. If dealing with customer service type stuff means getting out of the house for a change, I’ll take it.
It really is. We saw that to some extent and it’s frustrating and upsetting and emotionally exhausting. I’m sorry your best friend had to go through that. βΉοΈ
