So, good news! I haven’t accidentally burned down my new place of work after two weeks, so we can wrap the week up on a positive!
Life Beyond the Blog
For real, though, work has been going well. I’m gaining confidence in what I’m doing, and I think my coworkers enjoy working with me, which is a relief. The anxiety that they might not like me is VICIOUS and the sooner I can disprove that, the better.
And hey, at least I’ve learned not to worry too badly what the customers think of me. Retail survival 101, I think.
And on another positive note, I learned to sew this week! Just basics so far, but it ended in me makingΒ my own pillow and guys, you’ve got to see how cute it is.
I successfully made a pillow today! π± pic.twitter.com/APcsFNsIAD

Isn’t it adorable? I need better fabric or stuffing next time since the stuffing is gently poking out the back, but for a first attempt, I’m still proud. It’s cute, it’s pillow shaped, and none of the stitches have come loose. I’ll call that a success!
And for a third positive (tbh, this week was weirdly good and I’m a little bit braced for next week, yikes), tiny bun got new bedding and she is PRECIOUS. I tweeted about her but you deserve to see her even if you don’t follow me on Twitter.
Also! She is BABY! pic.twitter.com/Nmn9kjauMh

SO MUCH BABY (except she’s five years old next month and is only baby in face)!

The Week Ahead
It’s going to be busy, but at least I’m not working any closing shifts this coming week! If everything goes to plan, I’ll be popping by my library to get copies of the Three Dark Crowns series, and then spending my after work hours burning through as many books as I can so I can deliver reviews on time. Ah, the life of a book blogger who puts ridiculous deadlines on herself.
Somewhere in here, I also hope I can sneak in some personal writing AND some NaNoWriMo prep! NaNo is just around the corner, and it’s going to be November 1st before I know it. Better to get the groundwork of my project put down now than to forget about it until the last minute. Again. π
That’s it for this week, and for August! Hopefully your week has treated you right, and I’ll see you around! π
Good luck with your week!!π
Thanks, Kaya!
OMG your bunny!! ππ
The appropriate reaction to her sweet little baby face tbh! π
