Last week, I was dead certain I would have exciting news. Now that we’re back to Weekly Wrap time again, though, I…do not have the news. Not so much that it fell through, but more that it simply hasn’t come to pass for reasons entirely beyond my control.
In unrelated news, waiting in decision limbo is a curse I would not wish on my worst enemy. However! I will be patient! I will, because I have to. That’s not too much of a stretch, right?
Life Beyond the Blog
I so badly want to tell you all what’s up, but I feel like talking about it will jinx it, and it’ll all crash through the floor in a messy, undignified heap. No one wants that, do we?
So to steer entirely clear of that subject, let me share with you as much as I can about my stitching: I finished a whole dang hoop with thread painting (which is waaaaay more difficult than I anticipated, but intensely satisfying), and I’ve got three more hoops lined up! Two will be gifts (no images just yet, since the giftees may very well see this post… 👀), and the third is going to be for a giveaway celebrating one of my favorite series coming to a close. I wish I could share that giveaway on pub day, this coming Tuesday, but I need a little bit more time to finish the hoop in question. Better a good job than a rush job, after all!
Hoops aside, it’s been a little dull this week. I can’t say I’ve done much thanks to a string of bad brain days, and it bothers me a bit. But I think things are on the upswing, so here’s hoping the next Weekly Wrap is more chipper, hm?

The Week Ahead
If life doesn’t explode in my face with a puff of smoke like a haphazard science fair project unleashed upon the world, I should be back on track soon.
I’ll freely admit that’s a big if.
But let’s run with it, shall we? Let’s assume there’s no smoke, no fire, no disqualification from the fair while parents and teachers and peers look at me in shock and disappointment. Let’s also assume that I will one day have a better metaphor for not having my life perfectly put together the second I want it that way. That in mind, next week, I’ll be polishing three entire embroidery hoops AND opening up a giveaway AND putting the finishing touches on the review index AND catching up on the new season of Wynonna Earp, which I have not started (to my great shame, because holy hell do I love Wynonna Earp).
Are there enough hours in the day to do that? The answer is yes, if I don’t end up side-tracked by a shiny new project or the temptation to lie in bed and play video games all day when I don’t have to work. Those are painfully realistic obstacles for me. Depression and anxiety loooove to find responsibility-free activities to wallow in when the pressure is on, y’know?
But we’re gonna try. We’re gonna try so hard, and hopefully it produces results!
Like I said, this isn’t the exciting Weekly Wrap I thought I’d be able to share. That’s life. (I’d like to request compensation anyway, though).
Fingers crossed next week finally sets things in stone. I’ll see you around, and I wish you a wonderful week ahead!
Mh, I agree. Better not jinx it – I hope you get whatever it is that you want!! ❤️❤️
Omg I- I had 9 days off work and pretty much napped my whole way through 🤦🏽♀️ So, I relate.. oops?
Take care of yourself, and don’t stress xx it’s okay!
Fingers crossed, toes crossed, everything crossed while I wait!
Honestly, taking naps for nine days and not having to work does sound pretty dreamy. I envy you a little! 😂
Hopefully you will have news on this week’s wrap?!!
I hope so! It’s out of my control when I hear from the folks who will give me news, but I have to admit, the waiting is killing me! 😬
Good luck, whatever it is!! 🤞
