November 21st, 2020

It’s hard to believe we’re three full weeks into November, but I suppose the Weekly Wrap is good at reminding us how the time tends to pass. It’s also good for recapping all the things I manage to do with my time.

Even if I ultimately do very little.

Life Beyond the Blog

I told myself that I would use this week for work-related activities. For professional development, of a sort. And while I kind of have, I’ve also watched many,Β manyΒ episodes ofΒ Lucifer. I finished the season 3 finale yesterday, in fact, and I’m almost certain that whatever remaining brain cells I possess have camped in front of my Netflix account, waiting for me to play the next episode.

When it comes to entertainment, I am…perhaps very bad at switching things up. It’s burn through an entire series or nothing, you know? And since it’s currently inspiring a delightful run of self-indulgent fic, can I really complain? There’s nothing better than a fresh 5,000 words on the page!

Besides my media marathon choices, though, this week has been one of such relief. I discovered I don’t have to work Black Friday, even though I didn’t specifically request to avoid it, and that maybe I have a genuinely smart thought about my future and my career. It’s a little up in the air, sure, but it’s the first time I’ve felt real direction and curiosity in ages. Not to mention a sense of comfort.

Am I counting my chickens before they hatch? I’m trying not to, but the fact is, I’m kind of excited. I could be onto something, after all!

Overall, it’s been a week of personal relief and relaxation, a far cry from most of 2020. I’ll take what I can get when I can get it!

The Week Ahead

By the time the next Weekly Wrap rolls around, I hope to have a lot of my December posts drafted and ready to go. I’m in the stages of planning a readathon for y’all to join in on (which I sincerely hope you’ll join!), and trying to wrap up some holiday cheer to send out next month. Hope you all like skiing dinosaur wrapping paper! Or maybe snowflakes and rainbows? Anyhow, next week is for crafting and maybe reading and definitely writing, since it’ll also be the home stretch of NaNoWriMo.

Surprisingly, I’m looking forward to it. Such a nice change of pace from dreading it, to be honest.

I hope your week has treated you right, and that you have something to look forward to in the days ahead. See you next Weekly Wrap, folks!

    1. It IS I can’t believe I didn’t watch it sooner. I’m already finished up through 4×04! πŸ˜‚

Also, Ella Lopez is the love of my life. 😍

        1. Thank you, thank you. When she gets all coked up in that one S4 episode and defuses the bomb? That’s my sober operating speed. πŸ˜‚
