January 2nd, 2021
Feels good to mark this Weekly Wrap with 2021, not going to lie! I don’t think I realized until now how much I was really looking forward to doing that. But it’s here, and with it come some updates, as ever! Join me on this first step into the new year, will you?
Life Beyond the Blog
It’s been about 60% post-holiday bliss, 20% cruel designs by my eternally stuffy sinuses, and another 20% planning for D&D. Last night was my first session playing with my new gnome druid, and it was a blast to finally roll the dice again! The night gave me two nat 20s and a nat 1, not to mention the beginnings of a wonderful campaign. My friend makes a wonderful DM, and with our similar playstyles, we mesh really well. Plus, to be honest, I’ve missed the human interaction. It’s been lonely lately, what with the state of everything. Those three hours last night were a treasure through and through, and I’m looking forward to the next session!
Other than that, though, I feel like I covered everything of note in my Monthly Wrap yesterday. Reading is a slow, slow process, work takes up my weekends, and I’m just trying to carry the joy of the holidays a little farther ahead. I know I’ll need it in the time to come, for one reason or another, and I’ll hang onto as much as I possibly can.
Overall, though, it’s been a great week, and I’m ending it fully content. 😊

The Week Ahead
Now, here’s the trickiest section of every Weekly Wrap! I can never say for sure what’s ahead, and it seems like when I try, it gets away from me anyhow. But why not keep trying? One of these days, I’ll have to get it right, right?
So, barring any ups and downs, this week I aim to read three books, just to start the year off strong. I’m also planning to run a modified one on one D&D campaign for my sister at the end of the week, something that’s going to take some time and planning. I just can’t DM a game without literal hours of prep! 😅
I’ll also be taking pictures to refill my Instagram stores, probably doing some sewing, and maybe even drawing up some fresh embroidery designs. Those last two are a little time-dependent, but I’ll be optimistic here at the start of the year. There’s time, there has to be! And I’m going to find it somewhere.
Happy first weekend of the year! Hopefully it sets the right tone for all the weekends to come. 💛
I hope you have a good week!

I’ve gotten through only one, so maybe three was biting off more than I can chew. 😅 Wishing you a good reading streak soon, though! You deserve to read good books and feel powerful! 😤
