There is no life in this Weekly Wrap. There is only Stardew Valley.

Life Beyond the Blog

Seriously, I’m a Stardew Valley ZOMBIE right now. With the 1.5 update for the Switch, I’ve tumbled deeply back in love with the game. Every waking hour is either work, eat, or aggressively farm while romancing yet another pixel character. At this point, I’m starting my third farm using the Four Corners map layout, with plans to romance Leah this time around (after romancing Penny and Elliot in my first two runs).

Really, though, if we ignore the amount of time I’ve poured into this lovely little game, it’s been a slow week! I’m adjusting well to my new job (which, on occasion, allows me to hold happy puppies!), and I’m settling into something that feels like a routine. More importantly, it feels like a healthy routine. I get home from work at a reasonable hour. I’m eating dinner with my family again. There’s more time to spend playing with my bunnies, and more time to spend getting things done at home, things I’ve been putting off.

Despite the big changes, it’s also like nothing’s changed, and that’s okay. I feel like I’m heading towards new things, but it’s not going to happen overnight, and that’s for the best. I need to take things one step at a time anyhow, or I’ll get far too overwhelmed to keep going!

And on top of all that, I treated myself to some pins from Byte Size Treasure’s latest Save the Sharks Kickstarter! How can I resist new sharks and new pins? 😍 (If you were looking to back the Kickstarter, it’s already closed, but definitely give Rew a follow anyhow! Extra stock will probably hit the Byte Size Treasure shop once backers receive their pins!)

The Week Ahead

By the time the next Weekly Wrap rolls around, I hope I’ve done some writing. The pressure in my life is easing up enough that it feels genuinely possible to be creative again, something I’ve missed. Living in a state of nervous crunch has kept me from putting words on the page, and I miss writing dearly. Anything I can squeeze out this week, even if it’s only a couple hundred words, will be more than welcome!

I also aim to read at least three books. My TBR is tall, but pre-determined thanks to approaching release dates, and that kind of structure helps to keep me on target. With any luck, I might even get ahead of the curve!

Imagine, being ahead of my reading challenge goals… What a world that would be…

That’s all from me this week! I have pixel crops to harvest and a woodsy art gal to romance. Thank goodness for video games, huh?
