COVID continues to kick my butt, but I’m at least attempting to kick its butt back. Today’s Weekly Wrap will be short as a result, but hey, at least it’s happening at all!
Life Beyond the Blog
At this stage, I am doing well. My symptoms have let up save for the endless fatigue (which I’m really hating), and pending a negative test, I’m probably going back to work soon. Which is a relief, seeing as I have bills to pay and whatnot. And also because I’d like to get out of the house, at least a tiny little bit. 🥴
However, my dad was hospitalized this week for COVID and pneumonia, so things are a little unsteady on that front. He’s expected to make a full recovery, thank goodness, but it’s strange not having him home, and stranger still not being able to do much more than call him a couple times a day and check in. Since he has COVID, he can’t have visitors, even me. It’s not an ideal situation (calling it frustrating would be a very kind way to put it, and possibly the most family-friendly way), and even members of my family who don’t have COVID are exhausted. It’s so much, physically and emotionally.
We’re taking it one day at a time, though. I’ve got my test scheduled, I’ve been reading books more than usual, since it’s actually doable around the fatigue, and somehow, we’ll see this through. It’s just weird and bad for now, and we’re doing what we can to combat that.

The Week Ahead
Next week all rides on my test coming back negative. If it does, I head back to work and hopefully can keep up (though I’m concerned about this fatigue forcing me to drop down in hours again). If it doesn’t come back negative, though, it’s more biding my time until it does, and hoping this doesn’t stretch on too dang long.
I’m trying not to plan anything as a result. I don’t know what I’ll have the time and energy for, and waiting for my dad to be discharged is another variable my family has to factor in overall.
All I can say for certain is that I’m very tired and unlikely to be less tired soon. And if I have to be tired, I’m hoping I can at least feel relieved by good news and good health, you know?
As ever, all my best to you, friends! I hope you’re doing well and staying healthy, and ideally, I’ll see you for the next Weekly Wrap.
Hope both you and your dad feel better soon!
Thank you so much! 💕

Thanks! He actually came home about an hour ago, so that’s really encouraging. ❤️
