New Look for an Old Friend
In March 2018, Hail & Well Read started, but in another form. Then, it was known as The Words Gremlin, and it was built on a love of good words and the impulse decision to start blogging.
Now, almost two years later, Hail & Well Read has taken its shape as something new, though you’ll still see splashes of the old if you go back far enough. Restructured around an unending love of fantasy and a desire to read more and more from marginalized creators, it’s meant to embrace everything about the genre that brings joy, and to look forward to upcoming change in the system, change that will let new voices be heard.
That’s not to say that Hail & Well Read is only about reviewing fantasy books. Other genres will absolutely find their way in, as well as posts about things other than books, because this blog is run by a human being with varied interests and an unrestrained need to talk about them!
But at the end of the day, this is a blog built on the feeling of falling into a new world, page by page, for the first time. The feeling of finding a new love in ink and paper and a million paragraphs. The feeling of coming home every time you see that cover.
