Sometimes, you just need a book to leave you reeling for a little while.
That’s why this week, the Top 5 Tuesday topic from Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm Blog is all about books that caused a major reading hangover! They seem few and far between, but they’re each a gem in their own right. I love them because they left me wanting even more, so much that I wasn’t willing to move onto another book right away!
Even if I had to keep reading, because I refuse to let ARC deadlines get the better of me.
So, which books have hit me the hardest? Let’s go down the list!
Some books are exactly what you expect…and some go above and beyond!
Typically, I’m pretty good at guessing how much I’ll like a book, but today’s T5T topic is all about the books that exceeded expectations! Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm Blog gave us a topic that’s perfect for sharing hidden gems, don’t you think?
So go on, take a look at the books that impressed me the most!
Well, aren’t we all trying to rate a book 5 stars? That would certainly be nice, encountering more 5 star reads. But what makes something worth that many stars anyway? Thankfully, Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm did the asking this week, and Top 5 Tuesday is BACK with an answer!
So. What makes a book worth all those precious stars to me? My picks today don’t guarantee 5 stars as individual features, but more often than not, seeing them in combination with one another pushes them closer!
Technically, this isn’t an official T5T prompt, but every now and again, I am known to go a little rogue.
But who can argue with me on this one? It’s the most appropriate rogue T5T topic because this is it. The last Tuesday of the year. Why not take some time to round up the best of the best? So in no particular order, let’s go! But quickly; in the interest of saving time and getting back to all things Christmas with my family, I’m going to link to my reviews of each of the books below, and let those do all the talking for me today! Just click the cover of the book and you’ll be taken right to it!
(And Merry Christmas to those of you celebrating today!)
