Top 5 Tuesday || Hyped Books I Didn’t Like

Oh, to like every book I’ve ever read!

If only, right? It would be just so nice not to dislike things. But today, thanks to Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads popping this can of worms wiiiiide open, we’re going over some of the big hyped books I didn’t like. Do I dare say, even hated?

Admittedly, a large part of this post comes with a generous heap of salt on top. Do with that information what you will, my friends. And hopefully, maybe we even agree… 👀

Top 5 Tuesday || Hyped Books I’m Not Interested In

I refuse to accept criticism at this time.

Okay, just kidding. Criticism can be a lovely thing, especially from trusted sources. But today’s post is one I still stand firmly by. Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads chose “hyped books I’m not interested in” as a T5T topic, and by golly, am I going to tell you all exactly how I feel. I’m one part salt today, one part knowing my bookish tastes well, and one part feeling the need to stir the pot just a tiny bit.

Sometimes you just have to let it out, right? Tell the world how you really feel? And for these books, I’m feeling very not interested.

Top 5 Tuesday || Hyped Books (Still) on my TBR

My greatest talent is procrastinating.

That’s why today is a Top 5 Tuesday Triple, beginning with Hyped Books (Still) on my TBR! Thanks to Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads suggesting it for a topic earlier this month, and to my own ability to delay things, I’m using today to post about how far behind I am, and to catch up.

Yep, instead of reading all these books on my TBR, I’m just doing three weeks’ worth of T5T posts instead! My priorities are obviously rock solid. Right?

Top 5 Tuesday || Hyped Books I Loved

Sometimes, things that are hyped are good.

I’m a bit of a contrarian, so that’s not always true for me. But in these five cases, the books were well worth the hype, and I’m still thinking about them. Thanks to Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads making hyped books I loved the star of today’s Top 5 Tuesday, you too join me in being completely head over heels!

Top 5 Tuesday || Authors I Want to Try

Top 5 Tuesday banner displaying a hand with five rings

To be honest, this T5T topic carries a lot of pressure behind it.

There are so many amazing authors out there, and I’m sure plenty of them are authors I haven’t yet picked up. But in true bookworm fashion, Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads is making me reexamine and cherish my TBR just a week after shaking my head at its towering heights. So, here are some authors I want to try sooner rather than later! Think I’ll be able to make that happen?

Top 5…Thursday? || Books I Meant to Read in 2020

Top 5 Tuesday banner displaying a hand with five rings

Will I ever survive a Top 5 Tuesday with my dignity still intact?

The answer is probably no. Especially since today’s topic, books I meant to read in 2020, seems to be Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads‘s perfect way of making me expose my towering TBR. I keeping saying I’ll read all these books, but have I gotten to them?

The answer always seems to be not yet. 😳

Also, it’s Thursday, not Tuesday, and this is a topic from two weeks ago. How’s that for chucking my dignity and blogging reliability out the window all in one go?

Top 5 Tuesday || Series I Haven’t Finished

Top 5 Tuesday banner displaying a hand with five rings

Piggybacking off of two hours ago, we’re sticking to series!

And we’re returning to the part where I reveal how much of my TBR remains unread! In this case, we’re looking at series I haven’t finished. It must be Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads reminding me of all the books waiting on my shelf, judging me hardcore for still not picking me up.

Maybe a little shame is what it takes to see these series through to the end?

Top 5 Tuesday || Series I Want to Start

What am I doing, scrambling the T5T topics?

The truth is, the books I missed in 2020 (which you’ll see later this week) is the topic I missed two weeks ago. And series I want to start? Well, that’s actually last week’s topic! I’m pretty behind, as you can see. Is it embarrassing? Bold? Overly-ambitious? Just a chronic example of what it’s like to be a bookworm?

You be the judge of that (and if you’re a fan, let Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads know, since it was her idea)!

Hope you don’t mind if I toot my own horn for a hot minute.

It’s been one hell of a year, so why shouldn’t I? Thankfully, Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads has made the final Top 5 Tuesday of the year perfect for doing so. She left us a freebie this week, and I’m using it to share my favorite posts of 2020, the ones I worked the hardest on or had the most fun sharing. I hope they’ll bring a smile to your face as we close out the year, and that there’s plenty more posts like these to come!

Top 5 Tuesday || Books of 2020

Top 5 Tuesday banner displaying a hand with five rings

It’s time to call it: here are the very best titles of the year.

Okay, so it’s a little subjective, but hush, we knew it would be that way. That’s the whole point of Top 5 Tuesday (oh so graciously hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads)! More than that, it’s the point of naming the best five books of 2020, which is a surprisingly easy thing to do. If you’re struggling, just do what I do, and search for books you’ve rated five stars.

Or you could do what I also do and agonize over every little detail in your reviews until you’re 100% certain these are the best! Harder than it looks, I guess! 🥴
